Our Journey Since 1990

It Began in PJ New Town

Since the 1990s, our journey began as a stall within a restaurant in PJ Old Town (PJ State), Petaling Jaya. We started with authentic Cantonese-style porridge, using classic ingredients like crispy pork innards and fresh raw snakehead fish. To be different, we later ventured into seafood ingredients, while keeping our porridge true to classic Cantonese techniques. For nearly 30 years,  our porridge became a beloved fixture in PJ, widely known through our time at Kam Heong Restaurant, featured in the media and cherished by generations of loyal customers.

It Began in PJ New Town

Since the 1990s, our journey began as a stall within a restaurant in PJ Old Town (PJ State), Petaling Jaya. To be different, we later ventured into seafood ingredients, while keeping our porridge true to classic Cantonese techniques. For nearly 30 years,  our porridge became a beloved fixture in PJ, widely known through our time at Kam Heong Restaurant, featured in the media and cherished by generations of loyal customers.

Continuing the Culinary Journey

As operating costs increased, our PJ chapter eventually came to a close. Lester Koh Thin Hoong’s journey continued with nearly 10 years as Head Chef at Restaurant S Popular in Balakong and Sun Popular in Sungai Long. Driven by his passion for cooking, he mastered the skills and techniques of Chinese cuisine.

As operating costs increased, our PJ chapter eventually came to a close. Lester Koh Thin Hoong’s journey continued with nearly 10 years as Head Chef at Restaurant S Popular in Balakong and Sun Popular in Sungai Long. Driven by his passion for cooking, he mastered the skills and techniques of Chinese cuisine.

A New Chapter, From Home

In 2020, when the pandemic brought major changes, it became a turning point that inspired us to revive our family business from home. Operating from our home kitchen in OUG, KL, we returned with homemade Signature Seafood Porridge alongside authentically flavoured Hakka and Chinese dishes, continuing our tradition with care and skill. We are truly grateful for the continued support of loyal customers from the past and new ones discovering us today, as we serve the community through takeaway and delivery across the Klang Valley.

A New Chapter, From Home

We are truly grateful for the continued support of loyal customers from the past and new ones discovering us today, as we serve the community through takeaway and delivery across the Klang Valley.
